Rat Hepatocytes

Celsis IVT offers the largest selection of animal hepatocytes in the industry including Sprague-Dawley, Wistar, and Han Wistar rat. Rat cryopreserved hepatocytes can be used to perform coupled phase I and II metabolism and are a powerful tool for studying and comparing the species-specific metabolism and toxicity of your compounds.

Celsis IVT performs extensive characterization on all animal hepatocyte products. Rat cryopreserved hepatocyte lots are prepared from a pool of animal donors. A product data sheet is prepared by Quality Control for every lot of rat hepatocytes.

Fresh Sprague-Dawley rat hepatocytes are isolated twice a month. View the Animal Isolation Calendar for upcoming isolation dates on rat and other animal species.

Our animal cryopreserved hepatocytes are vialed at 1 mL/vial. A Percoll purification step is not required with Celsis IVT cryopreserved animal hepatocytes. Each lot will yield at least 5 million viables cells and a viability specification is met based on species.
